The Tasting Room
Thanks for your interest in Notaviva Vineyards! Below, you will find the options we can offer you, for both indoor and outdoor weddings, depending upon the size of your guest list.
The Notaviva Vineyards tasting room has a maximum capacity of 80.
The rental for the Notaviva tasting room and grounds (hours the tasting room is available for rent are 6pm - 10pm) includes:
- Private venue access
- Notaviva staff
- Use of the in-house audio and visual system (don't need to hire a band or a DJ; just bring us an iPod with your playlists, and we'll do the rest. We also suggest making a thumb drive or DVD of pictures, to run on the flat screen TVs during the reception-people love to look at pictures!)
- Use of the in-house tables (30" x 8' banquet tables) and chairs (seating for 80). *Stylized tables and chairs can be rented if needed, for an additional fee.
The tasting room remains open to the public until 6pm. Guests may begin to arrive at 6pm and your ceremony should not start prior to 6:30pm.
If you wish to accommodate over 80 guests, we have a lovely area for a larger tent that can be rented and set up at the vineyard. We can look into pricing of the tent, tables, chairs, linens, etc, and get back to you with a quote.
If you choose to hold your ceremony and reception outside, outdoor events may start earlier in the day (additional fees may apply, ask for details). The tasting room would then remain open to the public until normal closing hours; access to the outdoor event tent would be private and for your guests only.
Rental time includes set-up and clean-up/tear down of anything outside of catering, i.e. decorations, etc. A maximum of three people will be allowed to begin set-up (decorations, etc) inside the tasting room at 5:00pm; the tasting room remains open to the public, and decorations cannot interfere with business.
We will lock in your date upon receipt of a non-refundable 25% deposit.
We have a list recommended caterers that can serve anything from sit down dinners to buffets or BBQ, with a range of budget options. These caterers are familiar with our kitchen set-up and we allow them additional time for set-up and tear down (5:00pm prior/one hour post rental).
We require a 2-case minimum purchase, mixed cases allowed. You are welcome to get a Virginia ABC banquet license, which would allow you to serve beer at your reception. We're happy to serve pitchers of beer from a keg, or hand out bottles from behind the bar. We're also happy to keep non-alcoholic beverages behind the bar, too, and hand them out to your guests. Last call is at 9:15pm, and we have a strict “parking lot empty and dark”, which includes wedding party and guests, at 10pm - no exceptions.
